The short answer

WP Rocket is a well-known paid plugin with support included. Zinn® Cache does the caching itself for free — page cache, Redis object cache and smart purging — and you only pay if you want the Pro add-on.

Why people choose Zinn® Cache over WP Rocket

Free for good: the full page cache, object cache and purging cost nothing, with no licence to renew every year.

A Redis object cache is built in, so busy dynamic pages and the admin get faster too — WP Rocket's pricing page lists no object cache.

When you want more, Zinn® Cache Pro adds image, CSS and JavaScript optimisation from $49 a year, with a free trial first.

Where it is the better choice

WP Rocket is one paid plugin with commercial support for everyone and a long track record. If you want a single product from one vendor and support included from day one, it is a strong choice.

Where Zinn® Cache fits

Zinn® Cache gives you the page cache, the object cache and safe exclusions for free, on LiteSpeed or any other server. Pro adds analytics, a slow-query finder, warm-up and image, CSS and JavaScript optimisation only if you want them.

How to switch from WP Rocket in three steps

  1. Install Zinn® Cache, keep it switched off

Add the free plugin from your WordPress dashboard. Before you turn it on, note which pages WP Rocket leaves uncached — cart, checkout, account pages — so you can check they stay uncached after the move.

  2. Deactivate WP Rocket, then turn Zinn® Cache on

Never run two page caches at once. Deactivate WP Rocket first, then switch Zinn® Cache on. Shop and signed-in visitors are left out of the cache by default.

  3. Check it is working

Open your site in a private window and reload: the status panel shows which page cache is in use, and the guide on checking your cache shows how to read the response headers. Then delete WP Rocket for good.

Questions about switching from WP Rocket

Can I run Zinn® Cache and WP Rocket together?

Not as two page caches — two caches storing the same page fight each other and make problems hard to find. Deactivate WP Rocket before you switch Zinn® Cache on.

Is Zinn® Cache really free?

Yes. The page cache, tag-based purging, the Redis object cache and shop-safe exclusions are free for good, with no licence key. Zinn® Cache Pro is an optional add-on from $49 a year, with a free trial and no card needed.

Will my site be faster than with WP Rocket?

Any good page cache makes the biggest difference: on our own measured test a cached page started arriving in 40 ms instead of 107 ms. How Zinn® Cache compares with WP Rocket on your site depends on your host and theme, so measure before and after — the benchmark page shows how.
