No pageview limits: a traffic spike costs you nothing extra, and nothing stops working when you pass a monthly cap.

A NitroPack alternative that runs on your own server
NitroPack is a cloud service priced by monthly pageviews. Zinn® Cache is a free plugin that caches on your own server with no pageview limits. How they compare.

The short answer
NitroPack is a monthly cloud service priced by how many pageviews you get. Zinn® Cache is a plugin that caches on your own server for free, so a busy month never pushes you onto a bigger plan.
| Zinn® Cache | NitroPack | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free; Pro add-on from an annual licence | Free for 1,000 pageviews a month; from $8 a month for 8,000[1] |
| Free version | Yes | Yes — 1,000 pageviews a month on 1 website[1] |
| Server needed for its page cache | Any server: LiteSpeed's cache or a file cache | Any server — pages are optimised on NitroPack's cloud[1] |
| Object cache | Redis; Pro adds an APCu tier | Not listed on the pricing page[1] |
| Optional third-party online services | None in the cache; Freemius for Pro's licence | Yes — it is a cloud service with its own CDN and bandwidth limits[1] |

Why people choose Zinn® Cache over NitroPack
Your pages stay on your server — they are not sent to an outside cloud to be processed and served.
One yearly Pro price from $49 if you want optimisation, instead of a monthly plan that grows with your traffic.
Where it is the better choice
NitroPack does a lot for you in one switch: its cloud optimises images, CSS and JavaScript and serves them from its CDN. If you want all of that handled by an outside service and your traffic fits a plan, it is quick to set up.
Where Zinn® Cache fits
Zinn® Cache keeps your pages on your own server, with no pageview or bandwidth limits and no monthly plan to outgrow. Pro adds image and asset optimisation for one yearly price from $49.
How to switch from NitroPack in three steps
Install Zinn® Cache, keep it switched off
Add the free plugin from your WordPress dashboard. Before you turn it on, note which pages NitroPack leaves uncached — cart, checkout, account pages — so you can check they stay uncached after the move.
Deactivate NitroPack, then turn Zinn® Cache on
Never run two page caches at once. Deactivate NitroPack first, then switch Zinn® Cache on. Shop and signed-in visitors are left out of the cache by default.
Check it is working
Open your site in a private window and reload: the status panel shows which page cache is in use, and the guide on checking your cache shows how to read the response headers. Then delete NitroPack for good.
Questions about switching from NitroPack
Can I run Zinn® Cache and NitroPack together?
Not as two page caches — two caches storing the same page fight each other and make problems hard to find. Deactivate NitroPack before you switch Zinn® Cache on.
Is Zinn® Cache really free?
Yes. The page cache, tag-based purging, the Redis object cache and shop-safe exclusions are free for good, with no licence key. Zinn® Cache Pro is an optional add-on from $49 a year, with a free trial and no card needed.
Will my site be faster than with NitroPack?
Any good page cache makes the biggest difference: on our own measured test a cached page started arriving in 40 ms instead of 107 ms. How Zinn® Cache compares with NitroPack on your site depends on your host and theme, so measure before and after — the benchmark page shows how.
